5 Musts a Nonprofit Should Consider in a Grand Prize Home


Hello, and what a gorgeous weekend in Albuquerque, New Mexico. I took my foster dogs for a romp in the Sandia Mountains–they loved it!

I post often about the homeowner interested to raffle a home, but today I want to focus on the nonprofit, the church, or the school that is embarking on this fundraiser. Five things to consider in a Grand Prize Home: ONE, make sure the home has a wow factor. TWO, make sure the home is in a location with substantial population so people can come and see the home. Stay away from a very secluded home. THREE,  make sure the owners of the are willing to take the home off the market during the raffle. FOUR, make sure the owners will allow open houses. FIVE, make sure the value of the home makes for a winning raffle formula. For example, if the appraised value of the home is one million, do you (the nonprofit, church, school) have the ability to sell enough tickets to cover the cost of the home and make a substantial amount for your organization? Make sure you have a winning raffle formula.
