I’m Back!!

By

We all can use a break from electronics that have become such a major part of our lives. I had the luxury of taking a full vacation away from it all  in the sweet city of  Ashland, Oregon. Ashland sits at the base of the Cascade Mountains, with approximately 20,000 population — home of many live theaters, the Shakespeare Festival, beautiful parks, art galleries, great restaurants, and a slower way of life. I rented a lovely spot near the plaza and enjoyed Yoga, long walks, healthy eating, and good friends. It was great!

I see that House raffles continue to spread throughout the U.S. as a means to raise funds for nonprofits, get a home sold, and people love the game of winning a prize.  Check out Comer Children’s Hospital, 23rd House of Dreams Charity Raffle. The home is worth one million or you can take one million cash instead. You might ask, how does the owner of the home get the home sold if the winner takes the cash? The answer is that the nonprofit can purchase the home from the owner prior to the start of ticket sales, or the owners can agree to accept a holding fee from the nonprofit if the winner takes the cash. Then the owners can reduce the price of the home by the value of the holding fee for a quick sale on the open market.

Prize Home Kitchen

An excellent grand prize must have a wow factor. Simply, when people walk into the home, they say, “Wow, that’s a beautiful fireplace, or wow, that’s a neat kitchen.” So now this same wow factor will be a plus to the owners selling the home on the open market.

To your success!

What Others Are Saying:

“The book really does take you through the entire process. I feel like Diane holds your hand from beginning to end from qualifying the grand prize home to what happens after the drawing. I’m a homeowner and I’ve had difficulty selling my beautiful home. Now I know what it takes to sell my home in a raffle. I know exactly what type of nonprofit I need to partner with on my house raffle and what to expect. I’m excited to get started.”

"Consulting with Diane by phone has been invaluable. Her knowledge on the subject of house raffles is enormous, and she has really given us a better understanding of the process as we move forward with our house raffle. She has been more than willing to take the time needed in answering all of our questions. After consulting with Diane, we feel we have a much better chance of putting together a successful house raffle and are excited about making it happen."

“What a great marketing tool! This is a hot new method to get a property sold. My clients love this idea—I already have my first raffle house lined up. I’ll use Diane’s process to get and sell more listings.”

“I attended Diane’s workshop on February 27th, and she’s got it all together. Not only does she know how to pull off a house raffle but you can tell that she was a teacher because she knows how to convey the information. She broke the process into bite-size pieces and gave us exercises to complete so we were involved. Before anyone attempts a house raffle, they should attend Diane’s workshop–there’s more to it than one could imagine.”
